Who we are?

The Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI), formed in 1992 on the Treasure Coast (Martin and St. Lucie counties).  Is a non-profit organization to promote friendship and solidarity among its members and other non-profit organizations, through social, cultural, civic, recreation and sport activities.

The Board meets once a month (The first week of the month) and the members meet once a month (Usually the Third Saturday of the month).  The monthly membership meeting or Get Together as we call it, starts at 6:00 P.M. (Dinner/Dance) 7:00 P.M. (Dancing) at local social clubs such as Disabled American Veterans (DAV).  The party starts with a cocktail then the members eat a snack or “Picada” and finish with dancing music until late in the evening.  Donation is $10 for the members and for non members there is a $15 donation to cover the cost of the set ups and music.   When the parties are catered the admission is $25 for members and $30 for guests.

All we ask is that our members and guests to be civil and polite to each other, to integrate, meet new people from other Hispanic countries, mingle with new members and enjoy the evening.  We are Spanish Americans, professional people, business owners, young and retired people, bilingual and multicultural.  Meet us, talk to us, and see for yourselves who we really are and we do in the community.

Consider our accomplishments:

  • Scholarships: Through the last 25 years and with good results, we raised funds for Hispanic students of low income families, with good grades who want to continue their education at a Florida college or university.  The SACI scholarship was established in 1993 for low-income Hispanic students.  Over the past 26 years, the club has awarded more than $36,000 in scholarships to 54 seniors of Martin and St. Lucie counties.  The scholarship is based on need and a proven record of academic excellence.

  • Thanksgiving Certificates: The club donates thanksgiving certificates to low income families in the area.
  • Christmas toys: The members at its Christmas Party collect toys for low incomes families in the area.

Monthly Parties: Annual General Assembly, Mardi Gras, St. Valentine, St. Patrick, Easter, Mother’s Day, Labor Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Anniversary, Hawaiian, Halloween and Christmas.

Special events: Annual General Assembly Dinner Dance, Anniversary Dinner Dance and Christmas or New Year’s Dinner Dance.

Recreational Events: Annual cruise and Annual picnic.

Sport Activities: Golf, Bowling, Dominoes, etc.

Membership: The membership is $30 per person (Jan.-Dec.).  As a members your will receive monthly minutes, statements and flyers.
